Internet Marketing: Not to do’s

Spamming:

Gggrrhhh, Spamming is the worst thing ever, especially if you’re trying to set a good name for yourself, or show a good impression and get a following – this doesn’t sit well in anyone’s mind. DO NOT SPAM, no matter how desperate you are you’ll just make things worse for yourself and for others if the site you’re promoting is not one of your own.

The consequences can be quite bad if you choose not to follow this simple rule and etiquette of Online Marketing; ISP reported and possibly you’ll be banned too from using that ISP again. Taken to court; fined or spend time in prison or both. Yes it’s that serious. Removed from the said program you’re posting about and lose all commissions gained and future commissions. Removed from your web host if the site you own is being promoted using methods of spamming, hence the latter about any programs you’re promoting as their web host will not tolerate spammers whether it was you or someone else – although some leniency is given, but repetitive spam complaints will just end it all for everyone. Ruin your chances of having people clicking through on your posts to other sites as your username will be noted; having to join your mailing lists all over again in a new username is something you do not want to do again, especially if you know how tiring mentally and physically it can be to start afresh – yes, I’ve had to do this too because back in the days I didn’t know too well. So don’t make the same mistake I did in my first few months of Marketing. The list is endless, but you get the general idea.

Misleading others:

This is just as bad as Spamming. There is nothing else other than the latter to do to others. Lying is not the way to go in life offline, or online, it’s morally and ethically wrong. You wouldn’t like to be lied to, so don’t lie to others. This is not a lecture about lying, I’m just trying to outline that some will tend to over exaggerate when posting about a product, or a web site to earn commissions, etc.

Ignore “Remove Me” emails

If you have a personal email list and people ask to be removed, attend to their request within 24hrs, or before your next post out to your list.

The rest I'm sure you'll gather yourself through common sense - basically don't do anything that you wouldn't like to be done to yourself.

Lets now continue on some items to focus towards to allow our Marketing Arsenal achieve the best results. Again, use the link menu to your upper right.
